Pillars of Creation from a Backyard Observatory
I built an observatory in my backyard to take pictures of deep space. This is the Eagle Nebula, captured using a 12" telescope. I removed all the stars to make the famous Pillars of Creation stand out more.

Another Amazing Image from Webb, This Time it’s Galaxy IC 5332
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) continues to dazzle and amaze with its latest image, this time of Galaxy IC 5332, also known as PGC 71775, an intermediate spiral galaxy located approximately 30 million light years away. This comes after JWST released its first images at its full power, which included the Carina Nebula, Stephan’s Quintet, Southern Ring Nebula, and SMACS 0723, the last of which was the deepest and sharpest image of the distant universe to date.

Spiral Galaxy M74: A Sharper View
Beautiful spiral galaxy Messier 74 (also known as NGC 628) lies some 32 million light-years toward the constellation Pisces. An island universe of about 100 billion stars with two prominent spiral arms, M74 has long been admired by astronomers as a perfect example of a grand-design spiral galaxy.
Jupiter and Ring in Infrared from Webb
Why does Jupiter have rings? Jupiter's main ring was discovered in 1979 by NASA's passing Voyager 1 spacecraft, but its origin was then a mystery. Data from NASA's Galileo spacecraft that orbited Jupiter from 1995 to 2003, however, confirmed the hypothesis that this ring was created by meteoroid impacts on small nearby moons.
